Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how No Trace handles information when you use the app. We wrote this document in clear language so that you can understand exactly what happens, what does not happen, and why your privacy is fundamental to the app experience.
1. Core Privacy Promise
No Trace is designed with a simple principle: your data should stay under your control. We do not collect personal data and we do not send your personal information to our servers. There is no hidden profile building, no background transfer of your notes, choices, or activity, and no sale of personal information to advertisers, brokers, or third parties.
2. Data Collection and Transmission
We do not maintain a remote backend database for personal app content. If any data is generated while you use the app, that processing happens locally on your device and is intended to remain on the device. In normal app usage, No Trace does not transmit your personal content to our infrastructure.
Put plainly: we do not collect your personal data on our servers.
3. Local Processing and Device-Only Handling
Certain features may temporarily access data required to perform app functions, but this handling is done offline, on-device, and for immediate functional use. The app is built so that functionality does not depend on sending that data to our systems. Local processing means your data remains physically tied to the device environment you control.
4. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
No Trace does not use invasive tracking systems to monitor your identity across applications or websites. We do not run ad-tech profiling pipelines and we do not trade user behavior records as a business model. If non-personal technical diagnostics are ever used for stability, they are designed to avoid identifying individuals.
5. Third-Party Services
We keep third-party dependencies limited and review them carefully. If a third-party library is used, it is selected for functionality and reliability, not for data harvesting. While external software components can have their own policies, our intention and implementation is to keep user data local, private, and out of remote storage.
6. Children and Sensitive Data
No Trace is not designed to collect sensitive personal information. Because the app does not require server-side personal profiles, we do not intentionally gather sensitive categories of personal data.
7. Data Security Approach
Privacy and security are linked. By reducing data transmission and central storage, we reduce exposure. The less personal data sent over networks, the less opportunity there is for interception, misuse, or accidental leakage. This architecture choice supports the privacy promise described above.
8. Your Control
Since app-related personal content is intended to remain on-device, control is largely in your hands. You can manage your device permissions, uninstall the app, clear local storage according to platform tools, and decide how and when the app is used.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app evolves, for example to clarify wording, reflect platform requirements, or document new features. Any updates will be posted at this URL so that the latest version is always accessible.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact the app publisher through the support channel listed with the app distribution page.
